VUSD's Student Nutrition Department is sponsoring the Summer Feeding Program again at four different locations during the summer.

The Summer Feeding Program is a state-wide program that is run in partnership with the California Department of Education and the USDA to bridge the hunger gap that many students face during the summer months. Many children, even in our own community, depend on school meals as their main source of food. When school is out, these children may not have access to healthy meals. We believe no child should ever go hungry, so VUSD is offering free meals for all children ages 0-18 through most of the summer.

Below are the dates and times of each of the four sites where any child can come and receive a meal for free:

Downtown Public Library – 1 Town Square Place

June 10th - August 9th - 12:00pm-12:30pm

Boys and Girls Club – 100 Holly Lane

June 17th - August 9th - 12:00pm-12:30pm

Padan Elementary – 200 Padan School Road

June 12th -  July 10th & July 29th - August 9th - 10:30am-11:00am

Country High School (parking lot) – 100 McClellan Street

June 12th - July 11th - 11:30am-12:00pm

Lunches will be served Monday through Friday on the dates listed above. No lunches will be served on July 4th & 5th.
