Congratulations to David Robertson, Vacaville Unified’s Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, for receiving the Ray Curry Award from the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA).
The award honors HR leaders who exemplify the vision and leadership of ACSA founder Ray Curry, and David truly embodies that spirit.
In his remarks, David shared how curiosity has shaped his journey:
“It’s the spirit that drives us to challenge the status quo, look beyond the surface, and reimagine our profession.”
He encouraged fellow leaders to create a culture where asking “I wonder” is celebrated and leads to meaningful change.
David has been an active leader in ACSA and the American Association of School Personnel Administrators for over a decade, sharing his insights, mentoring others, and representing HR professionals statewide.
He was joined at the awards presentation by his daughter, Brooklyn Robertson, an HR attorney in San Diego. We’re proud to celebrate David’s leadership, curiosity, and commitment to education.
