If you have questions or concerns, a Special Needs Parent Liaison is here to help. Special Needs Parent Liaison is a support for families of children with special needs and the staff who serve them. The Special Needs Parent Liaison is a neutral and confidential resource for families and staff, providing information, training and advice on special needs issues and topics, and supporting relationships between families and staff. 
The Special Needs Parent Liaison works to help children succeed by fostering collaborative and productive partnerships between VUSD and families of children with special needs. Services are available to families and staff at any point in the special education process, whether the need is information, guidance, support, facilitation or dispute resolution.
No referral is necessary to contact the Special Needs Parent Liaison.

Some of the many advantages of apps as teaching tools are that they suit visual learners, they allow for non-verbal and non-written responding, they provide immediate feedback. Apps are available for students, parents and teachers.

In this video we see how walking down a sidewalk can differ between someone who is on the autism spectrum and someone who isn't. The video includes things that can cause sensory overload such as different sounds and lights.
