What is the LCAP?
The LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) is a critical part of the new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). VUSD has committed to engage parents, students, teachers, employees, community and the VUSD Board of Education to establish our plan.
The plan describes VUSD’s overall vision for students, annual goals and specific actions the district will take to achieve the vision and goals.
The LCAP must focus on eight areas identified as state priorities. The plan also demonstrates how the district’s budget will help achieve the goals, and assess each year how well the strategies in the plan were able to improve outcomes for all students and in particular, English Language Learners, Foster Youth and Low Income students .
