Input Sought on Re-Opening of Sierra Vista
VUSD is looking to re-open the Sierra Vista school site for the 2016-17 school year. All members of the community can help by giving input:
2. Attend the special Governing Board workshop Thursday, Aug. 27 at the Sierra Vista site, 301 Bel Air Drive in Vacaville. Refreshments will be provided starting at 5:30 p.m., and the meeting will start promptly at 6. Results of the survey will be shared at the meeting.

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) were adopted by the State Board of Education at the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year. Vacaville Unified is working to transition to these newly adopted standards, with full implementation expected by 2015. Our CCSS page has resources for parents, introductions and background information on this important change in education.

Visit our Measure-A Site
In January the district created a separate web site for "Measure A" to keep the community informed about the progress on the $194 million bond measure that was passed in November. The bond will provide funds to repair, modernize and expand facilities in the district.
Thank you to the campaign volunteers, students, staff and entire community for supporting the measure, helping it pass by a 61% margin!
