Loop the Lagoon is May 9
Vacaville Public Education Foundation's annual Loop the Lagoon fundraiser is coming up, Saturday, May 9. All proceeds go to the students and schools in VUSD; registrations made online by May 1 will send 50% of the money directly to the school of your choice.

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) were adopted by the State Board of Education at the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year. Vacaville Unified is working to transition to these newly adopted standards, with full implementation expected by 2015. Public LCAP Meeting
Tues., April 21
VUSD invites all interested community members to attend the Community Meeting for the district's Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) so they may provide feedback and share ideas. The meeting will be televised the next day, April 22, at 6 p.m. on Comcast, Channel 26.
Visit our Measure-A Site
In January the district created a separate web site for "Measure A" to keep the community informed about the progress on the $194 million bond measure that was passed in November. The bond will provide funds to repair, modernize and expand facilities in the district.
Thank you to the campaign volunteers, students, staff and entire community for supporting the measure, helping it pass by a 61% margin!
SBAC Testing in VUSD
This Spring, VUSD Students in grades 3-8 and 11 will participate in the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBAC) in English Language Arts and Math. In addition, students in grades 5, 8 and 10 will take the California Standards Test in Science. For more, please read our full document explaining Spring Testing 2015.
