The Vacaville Unified School District will be conducting the California Healthy Kids Survey, which is sponsored by the California Department of Education, for students in grades 7, 9 and 11 during the month of November. Our students will be among thousands of students throughout the state who are taking this survey. The survey asks questions about eating habits, physical exercise, drug use, violence and other health behaviors. The survey is anonymous and confidential.
Student participation will help us to better understand health-related behaviors and develop better health education and prevention programs. This is a very important survey that will help promote better health among our youth, improve the school learning environment and combat problems such as drug abuse and violence. The survey is required for continued funding for Link Crew and YTOT. Please encourage your child to answer questions on the survey honestly and complete all sections thoroughly.
The student surveys are posted below. For additional information about the California Healthy Kids Survey, please go to the WestEd website at http://chks.wested.org.
