Groups taking donations of school supplies

Both Fitness 19 in Vacaville and several city-run organizations are collecting school supplies to donate to students in VUSD.

Through the end of August the Vacaville REACH Youth Coalition, Police Activities League and the AWARE program will be collecting school supplies to be given to students through the Vacaville Family Resource Center. To donate, new school supplies can be dropped off Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m at the Family Resource Center, 312 Cernon St., Suite D, Vacaville.

Fitness 19 is holding a backpack, binder, and lunchbox drive for students at their gym located at 70 Peabody Rd. in Vacaville. The gym opens daily at 5 a.m. The Fitness 19 drive ends August 25. Those who bring in items will receive a 30-day pass. For more information contact Natalie Zell at 707-689-0549.
